Zendaya has arrived at the 2026 Emmys, bringing one of television’s most closely watched stars into a ceremony where she is again in contention for her work as Rue Bennett on HBO’s Euphoria.
Film Updates reported the appearance on X, quoting a post from MediaForUpdates with the simple caption: “Zendaya at the 2026 Emmys.”
Zendaya is nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series, her third nomination in the category for Euphoria. She previously won the award for the show’s first season in 2020 and its second season in 2022, making Monday’s ceremony another potential chapter in her history with the role.
This time, the competition includes Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus, Carrie Coon for The Gilded Age, Chase Infiniti for The Testaments and Keri Russell for The Diplomat, according to the 2026 Emmy nominations.
The nomination also arrives as Euphoria enters its third and final season. Zendaya’s earlier wins made her the youngest two-time winner in the lead actress drama category, and the 2026 bid gives the series one more chance to add to its awards record before its run concludes.
It is the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards.
The ceremony is taking place Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Mariska Hargitay is hosting the NBC telecast, which is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern, according to the Television Academy’s 2026 schedule.
The broader race is led by HBO’s The Pitt, which entered the night with 25 nominations, while Hacks collected 24 and newcomer Widow’s Bay received 19. Zendaya’s category remains one of the evening’s marquee individual contests, with the actress returning to the Emmys on the same stage where she previously accepted two victories for Rue.
