Live Nation Ontario has booked Loud Luxury for HISTORY Ottawa on Dec. 29, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m. It’s the last big night of the calendar before the city clears out for New Year’s, and it lands on a Tuesday — traditionally the quietest night in a venue’s week, unless it happens to fall between Christmas and New Year’s.
For HISTORY Ottawa, which opened Aug. 20, that makes it a marquee booking in the room’s first holiday season. The 2,000-capacity club sits at 47 Rideau Street in the ByWard Market, carved out of the former Chapters bookstore that the National Capital Commission bought in 2024.
It is the second venue under the HISTORY banner that Live Nation Canada operates with Drake, following the 2,500-capacity Toronto original that opened in 2021, and the first expansion outside Toronto. Ottawa’s version switched on with a sold-out Wallflowers show and an unusually wide 80-foot stage behind the largest LED video wall in the city. Officials promised 60 shows before the end of 2026 and roughly 150 the year after.
Loud Luxury — Andrew Fedyk and Joe De Pace, who met at Western University in London, Ont., and began releasing together in 2012 — are among the few Canadian dance acts who can fill a room that size on a weekday. Their 2017 breakthrough “Body” featuring brando is certified Diamond in Canada, multi-platinum in nine countries and has cleared 1.5 billion streams; it won Dance Recording of the Year at the 2019 Junos, and the duo followed with a Group of the Year win in 2020.
Two EPs have come since — 2020’s Nights Like This, supported by a 60-show bus tour, and 2021’s Holiday Hills — along with collaborations including “If Only I” with Two Friends and Bebe Rexha, and “Next To You” with DVBBS and Kane Brown. Fedyk and De Pace have also held a standing Las Vegas residency with TAO Group across OMNIA, Hakkasan and Wet Republic, while continuing to work Canadian festival slots.
Their “deep house with a shot of tequila,” as they’ve described it, is a sound built for exactly the kind of night Ottawa is being offered here: general admission standing on the main floor, with reserved seats and private lodges upstairs for anyone who wants to watch from a distance.
Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
