Keo will spend next spring playing rooms with balconies and sold-out signs — then squeeze into a Toronto basement. The London quartet has booked the Drake Underground for May 5, 2027, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m., Live Nation Ontario said on X.
The date slots into the North American leg of the band’s 39-date Put A Smile On For Me tour, the run announced in early October that takes in 12 UK and Ireland shows, 12 across mainland Europe and 15 in the US and Canada, opening Feb. 19 at Leeds’ O2 Academy and closing May 20 at Los Angeles’ Troubadour.
It is a victory lap for a debut that overdelivered. Put A Smile On For Me landed Sept. 25 through Island Records and entered the UK Official Albums Chart at No. 2, an unusually high watermark for a first record from a band that was playing club shows eighteen months earlier.
Brixton sold out before the album was even out
The venue ladder tells the story. Keo played two sold-out nights at London’s Electric Ballroom this year, will play two nights at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom and an already-gone O2 Academy Brixton on March 12 — tickets for which vanished before the album was released. Canada gets two stops by comparison: the Drake Underground on May 5 and Fortune Sound Club in Vancouver on May 15, with Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on May 1 sending them north.
Fronted by brothers Finn Keogh on vocals and guitar and Conor Keogh on bass, with guitarist Jimmy Lanwern and drummer Oli Spackman, the band broke through on 2025’s Siren EP, home to “Thorn” and “I Lied, Amber.” They wrote and recorded the 11-track debut in a single ten-day burst, chasing grunge, shoegaze and Finn Keogh’s unguarded vocals rather than studio polish.
The appetite is measurable: Keo’s autumn UK club tour shifted more than 9,000 tickets in 24 hours, and the Drake’s basement room holds a few hundred people at most.
General sale opens Friday at 10 a.m. local time, roughly seven months before Leeds kicks off the tour — and a lot closer than the night a few hundred Toronto fans will get in a Queen Street West basement.
