Four nights at Rogers Centre became six. Live Nation Ontario says the Backstreet Boys have added Feb. 14 and Feb. 21 to their “Into the Millennium HOMECOMING: Live in Canada” residency, crediting “incredible demand.” Tickets for the new nights, along with the original four, go on sale to the public Friday.
The scale is the story. Rogers Centre can be configured for up to 50,000 concertgoers, and the run was already billed as the band’s only North American stadium shows of 2027. A six-night stand now points at something north of a quarter-million tickets sold in a single Canadian city in February.
Demand showed up early. Rogers customers claimed presale codes through the MyRogers app and bought from Oct. 5, followed by Backstreet Army fan club members on Oct. 6, an artist presale on Oct. 7 and Live Nation’s All Access presale on Oct. 8. Friday’s general sale lands at 10 a.m. ET on Ticketmaster.
Canada isn’t a nostalgia stop for this group so much as an origin point. The Backstreet Boys broke through in North America on Canadian radio first, with 1995’s “We’ve Got It Goin’ On,” well before U.S. programmers came around. “Canada was one of the first places to embrace us,” Brian Littrell said when the residency was announced, “and the love and support we’ve received from our fans there has meant so much from the very beginning.”
The setlist draws on 1999’s Millennium, the five-time Grammy-nominated album behind “I Want It That Way” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” plus songs the group rarely plays live, including “It’s Gotta Be You” and “The Perfect Fan.” The band marked the record’s 25th anniversary in 2025 with Millennium 2.0, a 25-track reissue of remasters, demos and B-sides.
It slots into a heavy touring year. The Sphere in Las Vegas, where the Backstreet Boys became the first pop group to headline, wraps Jan. 2 after 47 sold-out shows and nearly 750,000 tickets. A 10-show stadium residency at Düsseldorf’s MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA is underway now, complete with the hoverboard entrance from the original 1999 Into the Millennium Tour. Toronto will be their first Canadian dates since the 2022 DNA World Tour, when Drake joined them onstage at Budweiser Stage.
The residency comes with its own merch infrastructure: an immersive pop-up called the Backstreet Boys YYZ Terminal – Toronto, modeled on the Millennium album’s airport cover, runs for the duration, offering Homecoming collectibles and VIP package holders their own lounge. Rogers is presenting sponsor and has a new TV ad pairing the group with Michael Cera.
Both added shows are Sunday nights. The first one is Valentine’s Day.
