Esther Perel is bringing her live show to Toronto — in the spring of 2027. Live Nation Ontario said in a post on X that the psychotherapist and author will play Meridian Hall on April 25, 2027, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
The Toronto booking lands about four months after Perel’s Australian premiere of Strangers, Friends, and Lovers: A Night Out with Esther Perel, a run of three December 2026 dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Promoters have pitched that production as an immersive, audience-participation evening rather than the lecture-style format Perel used on her sold-out 2022 Australian tour.
Meridian Hall gives her plenty of room to work with. The 3,191-seat venue opened in 1960 as the O’Keefe Centre, with the pre-Broadway premiere of Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot, and spent years as the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts before taking its current name in 2019 under a naming-rights deal with Meridian Credit Union. It is the largest soft-seat theatre in the city.
Perel has spent the past decade turning clinical conversation into mass entertainment. Born in Antwerp to Polish Holocaust survivors, she published Mating in Captivity: Unlocking Erotic Intelligence in 2006 — a book that turns 20 this year — and followed it with The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity, a New York Times bestseller in 2017.
Her two podcasts, Where Should We Begin? and How’s Work?, anchor a following built largely on her viral TED talks, which have drawn more than 15 million views on YouTube. She also runs an annual two-day conference, Sessions Live, which takes place May 15 and 16, 2026, in New York City and online.
The Meridian Hall date puts a 2027 Toronto ticket on sale a long way out, but Live Nation’s Friday window is the only public shot for now — no presale details were included in the announcement.
Perel has built two hit podcasts out of listening to strangers talk about love and work. On April 25, 2027, she gets 3,191 of them at once.
