Disney’s television empire added another shelf’s worth of hardware Monday night: The Walt Disney Company is celebrating 17 Emmy wins from across its businesses.
Disney announced the total in an X post published shortly after the 78th Emmy Awards concluded in Los Angeles. The company’s haul spans the broader Disney portfolio rather than a single network or streaming service, reflecting the reach of brands including ABC, Disney+, Hulu, FX, National Geographic and Disney Television Studios.
The result comes after Disney entered this year’s awards race with 125 nominations, including 109 tied to Disney+ and Hulu. The company’s nominated properties included The Beast in Me, a 20th Television limited series that received nine nominations, as well as Hulu’s Paradise and projects from FX, Lucasfilm and Marvel Television. Disney’s full 2026 nominations list showed how widely the company’s awards strategy now stretches across platforms.
This year’s Emmy competition unfolded over three nights. The Creative Arts ceremonies took place September 5 and 6, followed by the televised ceremony on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, according to the Television Academy’s awards schedule.
The night’s biggest storylines included Jean Smart’s fifth consecutive win for lead actress in a comedy series for HBO Max’s Hacks. Widow’s Bay also tied the record for the most Emmys won by a comedy in one season, with 13, while The Pitt took its second consecutive drama series prize.
Disney’s 17-win count also follows a strong year across its awards divisions. ESPN collected 10 Sports Emmy Awards in May, including the 17th overall Sports Emmy for College GameDay, which won its 11th trophy for outstanding weekly sports studio show.
For Disney, the latest total puts the company’s sprawling television operation back in the awards conversation just as the 2026 Emmy season closes—with the trophies now distributed and the campaign already part of television history.
