Is there going to be a Season 2 of Better Than Us?

Yes, a second season of Better Than Us is officially happening. The upcoming season will consist of ten episodes and was reportedly began filming in the Q3 of 2021. So we believe that filming might have wrapped by now.

“We didn’t plan to go to China in season two, but the show lends itself perfectly to be told in Mandarin and be based in China, because in season one we reveal it’s the Chinese who designed Arisa, the AI robot with ‘free will’ against three Azimov’s rules. And now that Cronos Corp has messed things up, Chinese creators want what’s left of their incredible creation, not without purpose,” explains series creator Alex Kessel.

It was also reported that season two will not be available on Netflix. A spokesperson of Netflix told Variety that the giant streamer “has no involvement in the second season of ‘Better Than Us’”.

Apart from this, there has been no concrete information on when the next season will arrive as many fans are anxiously waiting for the new episodes.

Better Than Us Season 2 Release Date: When is it?

The second instalment of Better Than Us is officially renewed and is expected to arrive shortly. According to some news outlets, it has been reported that season 2 is shifting to China from Russia and will return with a total of 10 episodes which were initially scheduled to begin filming in Moscow and Beijing respectively.

Seemingly, it should be the third season of the series but from the giant streamer’s point of view, it is still on the second season. As far as the involvement of Netflix is concerned for the second season, the streamer will have no authority whatsoever.

However, the release date is not available and no official update or information has been provided on when the second season of Better Than Us will be aired.

Better Than Us Season 2 Plot: What will the story be about?

Plot details for the upcoming season are not out yet as it has ton of secret. ‘Better Than Us’ is established in 2029 and at some point, humans have started using robots to do a large amount of work.

In the first season of Better Than us, the story revolves around an advanced robot called Arisa which is constructed by an engineer by understanding the significant scarcity of women not being able to get married due to the one-child policy in China.

What makes them extensively more dangerous is that they are equipped to slaughter any human beings who try to harm them. What the humans don’t foresee is that by attacking the robots, they are only initiating a war. It is impossible to massacre the robots, however, it isn’t difficult for robots to massacre people. So what happens when robots decide to go on a war against humans? Only time will tell. If season 2 happens, the story will further continue with the conflicts between humans and robots.
