The plot of The 355: What to expect?
The 355 is both helmed and jotted down by Simon Kinberg, with the plot inspired by a story he penned with Theresa Rebeck. It revolves around a bunch of transnational spies who work together to end a potentially dangerous circumstance. Jointly, the team consisting of five women must form a team known as 355 as a sign of paying tribute to the committee of female spies that unified during the American Revolution.
As per reports by Variety, the actress Jessica Chastain who also features in the upcoming film was the one who formed the idea for the film and chose it to director Simon Kinberg. Chastain and Kinberg worked together in the past on the 2017 movie “X-Men’s Dark Phoenix” as a response to years and years of male-led spy films.
“My goals and dreams for ‘The 355’ are that we just accept the fact that women are awesome and tough and badass,” Chastain revealed to Deadline. She continued “I’m excited for society to start acknowledging what’s happening in our world.”
