After a mesmerising season 16, changes are afoot on The Real Housewives of Orange County! The first of numerous real housewives shows, The Real Housewives of Orange County (abbreviated RHOC) is an American reality TV show, premiered in March 2006. It has aired sixteen seasons with a total of 275 episodes. Formulated on real-life hurdles and chaotic women drama, the series spotlights the typical housewife jitters – loud diner combats, chaotic breakups, messy work-life and shopping sprees.

The show was, initially, invented to bestow a satirical look at what life was in affluent communities, such as Orange County, California. The Real Housewives of Orange County is based on the arduous customary lives of five gorgeous elite women and their families. The accomplishment of RHOC encouraged the creation of the entire franchise, which also incorporates shows established in NYC, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, New Jersey, and more.

When is the 17th Season of RHOC Premiering?

Adhering to the fact that RHOC season 16 premiered on the 1st of December, 2021, there is no news of the release of the 17th season as of now. Show cast members or makers have made no such announcements regarding the premiere of season 17.

Season 16, however, was a literal knock-it-all! With a schmick setting and the same-old real-life problems, it was a pleasant treat for the viewers. Season 16 was so far the most dramatic of all seasons – and thanks to the return of similar faces, the show got its stars back! No wonder, the most enticing part about the 16th season was the return of the former cast members – Shannon Storms Beader, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Heather Dubrow.

Heather Dubrow was on a five-year hiatus; she had young kids that needed to be catered to – and family concerns. “My kids are growing up and my family’s at a better place”, she said in an interview, when asked about her return to the sets of RHOC. “The pandemic has given me a different perspective to view things in life. Moreover, how many times do you get to go back and try something again”, she added.

RHOC Season 16 featured the brand new entry of 2 new wives, namely Dr Jen Armstrong and Noella Bergener – and well, gallons of drama! Although there’s no news about the release of season 17 any time soon, we bet it’s going to be all the more fun! Women filled with goofy moments, shade-throwing, shocking twists, tears, and oh so much more, season 16 has set the bar pretty high. Stay tuned for more updates!

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 17: Cast

As there are no details revealed about the 17th season of RHOC, the cast members are still unknown. Originally, when the show premiered in 2006, it featured Bryant, Jeana Keough, Vicki Gunvalson, Lauri Waring, and Jo De La Rosa, per Reality TV World. While myriad cast members have bestowed an indelible impression on the franchise, many new faces were seen in the later parts of the series.

Tammy Knickerbocker joined the RHOC cast for the second season which aired on television on the 16th of January, 2007. Bryant appeared as a guest. De La Rosa exited the franchise as a regular cast member. On 6th November 2007, the third season of RHOC premiered with a new face Tamra Judge – as the latest housewife. Quinn Fry joined the cast in the sixth episode, wherein Bryant and De La Rosa appeared as guests. Tammy and Quinn left after the third season.

The sixth season featured Peggy Tanous as the newest housewife. Heather Dubrow joined the cast in the seventh season, which aired on Feb 7, 2012. Lydia McLaughlin joined in the eighth season. Season 9 aired on April 14, 2014, featuring Shannon Storms Beador and Lizzie Rovsek as the new housewives! Knickerbocker, Keough, and Curtin made guest appearances. Many more cast members joined, a few departed, and some made guest appearances later.

The Real Housewives of Orange County was a massive success and it broke several records with its inevitable dramatic tale and exhaustingly fun cast!

Stay tuned for more updates!
