Robots tend to Baby Groot as it grows in a pot where it starts its life. When his pot develops a crack, the robots replace Groot with a bonsai plant. Baby Groot finds some blue Grunds hiding beneath a rock and starts playing with them, but the Grunds perceive this as an attack and launch their own offensive.
Groot walks to a nearby bush in search of more food for the Grunds but unintentionally treads on one of them on the way back. It is revealed that Iwua, a shape-changing alien who acts as him, is responsible for this. The alien teaches Iwua various dance steps as they are dancing together.
