It was with the Late Night with David Letterman on NBC that David starting hosting. Eventually working for years, his end of the hosting career came with the Late Show with David Letterman.

In his entire hosting career, Letterman hosted about more than 6000 episodes of the Late Night and Late Show. His other ventures came as he turned film and television producer. He was even honoured with multiple accolades for his contribution in the industry he worked for.

However, with all of that aside, David Letterman also shocked everyone when he confessed his unexpected relationship with his staffs at the workplace. As it was during his appearance on The Late Show in 2009 October that David Letter made some shocking confession.

David Letterman’s blackmail incident and his shocking confessions

Though it sounded like a scripted story, but David Letterman literally made his real life shocking confessions on The Late Show. When in October 2009, he came from a commercial break on The Late Show, he admitted to having blackmailed by someone.

As his blackmailer wanted $2 million to keep his “terrible things” a secret. Though initially David didn’t tell the audience what those terrible things of him were all about. He did confess that later. He revealed about those saying “I had se* with women who work for me in the show.”

Letterman admitted the lines to be true leaving the audience shocked for a minute. He added “Would it be embarassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would. Perhaps it would.” He continued “Especially for the women”.

After the confession, media was having the se*ual relationship of David Letterman unfold that he had with his staff. One of them being about The Late Show intern, Stephanie Birkitt too. She was the same lady whose boyfriend was actually who blackmailed David Letterman for millions and was arrested too.

No doubt, the transition of Stephanie from being an intern to a personal assistant of David Letterman actually hinted at their relationship with each other. Plenty of other women on The Late Show were reportedly having affair with David Letterman too. While the host was already married when these alleged affairs took place.
