At the time of this writing, no formal statement has been made concerning Sprung season 2–however, several encouraging signals do exist. You see, this show was lauded by audiences, and it has an 88% Rotten Tomatoes and 7.3 IMDb grade. The show also did well on Freevee.
Secondly, Greg Garcia, the show’s creator and executive producer, is “hopeful for a second season.” He stated he has “some ideas” for a second season, but he didn’t elaborate. Also, Garret Dillahunt and Martha Plimpton want a second season. TV Insider reported that Dillahunt would “love” to return for a second season. He claimed the show has “a lot of potential.”

What to expect from the storyline of Sprung season two?
The plot of Sprung Season 2 is unknown; however, Season 1 events suggest a few possibilities. In Season 1, Jack, Rooster, Barb, and Gloria flee prison and start a new life with bank burglary money. However, the cops, mob, and their difficulties complicate their new lives.
The second season will follow the gang as they adjust to their new life and deal with the consequences of their actions in Season 1. At the end of Season 1, the police were still after the gang thus, Season 2 may feature them more. The group may have to flee again or clear their names.
The mob lost a lot of money due to the gang’s heist; therefore, Season 2 may feature payback. The gang may have to fight for survival or reconcile with the mafia. Barb and Gloria are still working out their relationship, while Jack and Rooster have very different life goals. These internal disagreements may escalate in Season 2, causing group drama.
