The School of Chocolate is a great series to learn and practice your skills especially if you’re a young aspirant. Now that you’ve binge-watched the first season, I’m sure you’re eagerly awaiting for the second outing to arrive. Without further ado, here’s what we know about School of Chocolate Season 2.
School of Chocolate Season 2: Is it renewed?
As of now, the School of Chocolate season 2 is not yet renewed. The official renewal announcement solely depends on the last season’s viewership metrics. Henceforth, if the last season managed to get a good score then only Netflix will decide whether or not the show is deserving of another season run.
However, it is most likely that the Netflix competition series will be given the green signal with the fact that the show was widely popular among fans from across the world.
School of Chocolate Season 2 Release Date: When is it?
Talking about the release date for second season, there is no official confirmation either from Netflix or the show makers.
Although no announcements have been provided, we’re quite optimistic that the series will indeed be renewed and right now, the most important thing for us to do is wait for a little while till we get an update from the show makers or from Netflix itself.
The reason why we’ll have to wait for a while is mainly because of the involvement of practicalities, and it’s kind of understandable for the giant streamer to take its time before finally renewing any show for a new season.
Netflix selects whether or not to renew a show based on viewership, of course, but also takes into account how much people truly appreciate a particular series, according to Cindy Holland, the streaming platform’s VP of original programming (via IGN). Fans clearly seemed to adore this one, even if Netflix doesn’t publicly disclose its viewership figures.
The first season of School of Chocolate was released on the giant streamer on November 26, 2021, comprising a total of eight episodes that had a run time of 28 and 49 minutes.
Host and participants of School of Chocolate season 2
In the upcoming season of the School of Chocolate, fans can expect to see Amaury Guichon return as the host while also serving as a mentor, tutoring the participants, as the show’s judge and a host. The renowned French Chef Guichon may likely be joined by other well-known chefs namely Devin Cowan and Carolyn Nugent.
In the first season of School of Chocolate, it featured eight participants Cedirck Simpson, Amanda Miller, Juan Guiterrez, Daniel Corpus, Stephanie Norcio, Melissa Root, Tyricia Clark, and Thiago Silva. At the end of the series, Juan Guiterrez was declared the winner.
Meanwhile, in the second season of School of Chocolate, the name of the participants is not revealed. But we assume that the format of the show will remain the same with a total of eight new participants as well competing for the title. It’s also possible that the previous participants may also return as a guest judge or a mentor for a certain episode but it’s not clear if they’ll be a part of the show.
This post will be updated over time with all the newest information. Till then stay tuned for more and keep your eyes peeled.
How many episodes can we expect?
The previous season of School of Chocolate had a total of 8 episodes. Thus, if the makers decide to follow a similar pattern, the second season may also comprise 8 episodes. However, there hasn’t been an official update yet.
Where to watch School of Chocolate?
You may watch the series School of Chocolate on Netflix.
If the show gets a Renewal, what plot can we expect?
Guichon set up individual tasks during Season 1 of “School Chocolate” based on the technical pastry skill the chef taught them in the episode. The participants who didn’t quite complete the assignment had to sit out the second round and instead received a one-on-one session with Guichon. The winners received a point and were allowed to advance. We can expect the same thing to happen if a new season comes up anytime.
According to the website for The Pastry Academy, Juan Gutierrez is already scheduled to conduct a workshop at Guichon’s pastry academy in February. As a result, Season 2 contestants might also be eligible for a $50,000 cheque like Gutierrez did. Contestants may be sure to pick up a lot of skills from their teacher along the way if Netflix decides to bring on Season 2 of “School Chocolate,” regardless of the specific challenges and the prize.
