American singer Britney Spears has been a popular music artist known to have travelled in a lot of countries for her professional or personal reasons. Needless to say, she has her fans everywhere. However, despite having roamed around the world, it looks like her geography is a bit weak atleast in terms of Canada. Well, that’s because a statement of Spears drew a lot of attention back when she called Canada among “Overseas”.

Sounds like a fumble? Yes, it was one of the fumble by Spears but here we throw lights at what exactly she said.

Britney Spears is an American singer having lived in US and has travelled to other countries too, sometimes for her shows too. Although, some of you might not be knowing that Spears had once called Canada as an overseas. The statement had gained attention of many back when she said that.

With little information on when exactly she said so, being it an incident of long back. As per some of the reports available, Spears had reportedly said “I get to go to lots of overseas places, like Canada.” For all those who were actually aware where Canada stands alongside US and if that’s indeed an overseas to US or not. This statement of Spears was surely a thing to joke about on social media.

Being an American, this fumble from a celebrity like Spears was indeed a shock. As Canada isn’t overseas to US. As both the countries shares border with each other. But Spears hasn’t been the only music artist who actually made such fumble in context of countries. There are certainly many of them who joined Spears that list over the years.

A little fumble came from Kim Kardashian as well back in 2009 when she had shared a post as “We are here in Botswana, South Africa! Wow what a long flight.”. The thing to note here was that both Botswana and South Africa are two different countries.Yes, that made many to mock that too on social media.

Similar fumble happened with Justin Bieber too back when he named some wrong continents when asked about them. Surely, many more such fumble still exists of the celebrities that have once been mocked badly by those who could spot them.
