Despite critical praise and positive responses, Raised by Wolves season 3 has officially been canceled. The show’s cancellation has fans wondering what would have happened to the androids, children, and Kepler-22b residents.
The third season of Raised by Wolves had unlimited potential, but the makers have axed the series. Here’s everything you need to know!
Why was Wolves Season 3 canceled?
HBO canceled the series on June 3, 2022, without a finale.
The statement (released via Deadline) read: “While we are not proceeding with a third season of Raised by Wolves, we are beyond grateful to the stellar cast and crew, our creators Aaron Guzikowski, Ridley Scott, David W Zucker, and the entire team at Scott Free Productions, for their beautiful artistry and unique ability to immerse fans into the world of Kepler-22b.”
Unfortunately, Raised By Wolves’ renewal window coincided with the network’s huge shake-up, which is cutting output.
In February 2022, showrunner Aaron Guzikowski told Collider that he was writing season three scripts.
“If we get there, who knows if it will be ordered to production. I must keep writing it because we have no source material if it is ordered.
I think that’s my universe as long as the programme continues. I work like a method actor, but I write. I live in this realm.”
After the series was cancelled, the stars urged fans to rally to save it.
Abubaker Salim, who plays Father, tweeted to supporters to save the series, revealing the cancellation before the network did.
“I want action. I witness daily love, enthusiasm, and questions (too many) about Raised By Wolves on Twitter. As we seek for a new home, I want you to offer genuine love here, there, and everywhere with even more enthusiasm “He encouraged social media users to use #RenewRaisedByWolves.
Niamh Algar, who plays Sue, also shared a message, tagging Prime Video, Peacock, Apple TV, and Netflix, saying: “Cause praying gets you nowhere!”
Raised By Wolves’ future after HBO Max’s termination is unknown as of early 2024.
The previous season showed human parents, Father (Abubakar Salim) and Mother (Amanda Collin), along with their six human children, move to an atheistic colony in the enigmatic tropical region of Kepler 22 b. As Mother’s “natural child” threatens to wipe out what little of the human species is left, navigating this weird new civilization is just the beginning of their difficulties.

Raised by Wolves Season Three Plot: What can we expect?
Raised by Wolves was canceled, but fans can still hope for season 3. Had the series been renewed, it may have explored Mother and Father’s bond and the difficulties of raising human children in a hostile world.
The Mithraic-atheist fight and Kepler-22b domination may have been another theme. Besides, the series may have examined the Entity and its aspirations for humanity. Many possibilities exist, and fans can only wonder what could have been.
It’s unfortunate, though, that the series was canceled. However, in case of any latest developments and announcements, we shall keep this space updated—do stay tuned!
