Lindsay and Marc are a couple on their way to Los Angeles when they run out of gas just outside of the rural town of Eddington, New Mexico. Taking a break from they travel, the couple go into the town which seems friendly and welcoming at first. However as it gets darker, the couple’s ideal vision of the quaint town
soon turns into a nightmare. The plot of this upcoming noir dark comedy is set in a fictional copper mining town in New Mexico and is supposedly a contemporary western set during the pandemic. Titled as, ‘Eddington’, the feature film is being taken up under A24 Films and Square Peg. A24 Films is a known production company whose works include, ‘Priscilla’ which premiered in 2023 and was directed by Sofia Coppola, ‘All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt’ which starred Charleen McClure, Moses Ingram and Reginald Helms Jr, ‘Aftersun’ which premiered in 2022 and ‘Marcel the Shell With Shoes On’ which featured Jenny Slate and Isabella Rossellini to name a few. Square Peg is an emerging production company.
Seeing as how the plot is set in New Mexico, the place will be serving as the primary location for the upcoming feature film.
A Look at the Cast and Crew for ‘Eddington’
Joaquin Phoenix will be playing a primary character in ‘Eddington’. Joaquin Phoenix is an award winning actor who is known for his performances in works of entertainment such as, ‘Joker’ which premiered in 2019, ‘Her’ which was directed by Spike Jonze and more. Additionally, Pedro Pascal and Candice Bergen will be joining the cast for ‘Eddington’. Pedro Pascal is an established actor who is known for his works, ‘Narcos’ in which he played the role of Javier F. Peña , ‘The Last of Us’ which premiered in 2023, ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ (the second film in the franchise) and ‘Strange Way of Life’ which featured Ethan Hawke and Manu Rios, to name a few. Candice Bergen is another popular actress whose works include, ‘Book Club’ which premiered in 2018, ‘Miss Congeniality’ starring Sandra Bullock, ‘Soldier Blue’ which was directed by Ralph Nelson and more. In ‘Eddington’, Perdo Pascal will most likely play the role of the town’s mayor and Candice Bergen will portray a Q- Anon conspirator.
Ari Aster, a known filmmaker, will be joining the crew as the film’s director. Ari Aster is popular for his works, ‘Midsommar’, ‘Beau Is Afraid’, ‘Dream Scenario’ and more. The production of ‘Eddington’ will be headed by Lars Knudsen. Lars Knudsen is a known producer and co- founder of Parts & Labor, a production company. He has previously worked with Ari Aster for works such as ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Dream Scenario’.
