The upcoming 2D animated film is coming under the direction of Caroline Piochon and Atiq Rahimi. While the writers of the same are going to be Atiq Rahimi giving the screenplay alongwith Nahal Tajadod. But what’s the film going to be all about?
Well, according to Variety, the upcoming film is “an updated adaptation of Farid-al-Din Attar’s 900 years old Persian poem of the same name”. In which a flock of birds who survived a catastrophe embarks on a journey to find mythical Simorgh whom they believe has a solution to their problem. Leading the birds on the journey is Hod-Hod, the hoopoe.

Golshifteh Farahani to join the cast of Conference of the Birds
For those curious to know about who’s cast in the upcoming animated film. Then popular actress Golshifteh Farahani is one of the listed cast on IMDb for Conference of the Birds. While which character of the movie she’d be giving her voice to isn’t known yet. But surely we’ll know it soon.
The other cast member listed however for the upcoming film is Louis Garrel. No doubt, there must be many other stars who are yet to be announced for the upcoming film. The producers of Conference of the Birds are Christel Henon, Jean Labadie, Gilles Podesta, and Stéphane Sorlat.
Rahimi is making animation debut with Conference of the Birds and it would be interesting to see how this upcoming movie will actually perform at the big screen. We can expect to see this film during Cannes Film festival of this year at Marché du Film’s Animation Day.
