Noomi Rapace is reportedly in talks for the lead role in an upcoming retelling titled as ‘Mother’. Taken up under Entre Chien et Loup, a known production company, the upcoming feature film will narrate a different story about the real person behind the myth of Mother Teresa. Taking place across the span of five days in the life of a 44-year-old woman as she leaves St. Mary’s convent. The film will supposedly explore the white lies or dark secrets surrounding the renowned figure. Some of the productions under Entre Chien et Loup are, ‘A Mermaid in Paris’ which premiered in 2020, ‘Beyond the Horizon’ which was directed by Delphine Lehericey and ‘And Breathe Normally’ which premiered in 2018 among others. Noomi Rapace is known for a number of her works such as, ‘Prometheus’ in which she played the role of Elizabeth Shaw and ‘What Happened to Monday’ which is a sci- fi film, ‘Black Crab’ which starred Dar Salim and Aliette Opheim to name a few.
With an on going casting the film is reportedly under active development.
Meet the Crew for ‘Mother’
Joining the crew as the upcoming feature film’s producers are Sébastien Delloye and Labina Mitevska. Sébastien Delloye is a recipient of several accolades and is a known producer. Some of his works include, ‘Death for Sale’ which premiered in 2011, ‘Quartier lointain’ which featured Pascal Greggory, Jonathan Zaccaï and Léo Legrand, ‘Les Barons’ a dramedy, ‘The Happiest Man in the World’ which was directed by Teona Strugar Mitevska and more. Labina Mitevska is another known actress who has worked alongside Sébastien Delloye for films such as ‘The Happiest Man in the World’. Some of her other works include, ‘I Want You’ which premiered in 1998, ‘I Am From Titov Veles’ a drama, ‘God Exists Her Name Is Petrunya’ which featured her in the lead role and more
Director Teona Strugar Mitevska is also joining the crew for ‘Mother’. Having previously worked with producers Sébastien Delloye and Labina Mitevska, Teona Strugar Mitevska is a popular filmmaker. Her other works include, ‘How I Killed a Saint’ which starred Labina Mitevska, ‘One Of Many’ which premiered in 2019 and ‘The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears’ which was co- produced by Sébastien Delloye, to name a few. Teona Strugar Mitevska and Labina Mitevska are a known sibling duo who will be playing an active role in the development of the upcoming feature film. With the filming potentially commencing by next year, the locations for ‘Mother’ include, Belgium, Macedonia, Denmark and Sweden.
