Advantage Entertainment’s upcoming production is centered in the illegal rhino horn trades in South Africa orchestrated by gangs. Titled as, ‘Endangered’ the series takes place in the gang lands of Cape Town to Kruger National Park wherein illegal rhino poaching has been actively happening. When missing persons case begin to appear, Captain Kassie Kasselman, enters into a dangerous encounter with a powerful group that controls the illegal rhino horn trade. Advantage Entertainment is a production company based in South Africa who are popular for their works, ‘Revelation Road’ which is directed by Gabe Sabloff, ‘Angeliena’ which premiered in 2021, ‘Redeeming Love’ which starred Abigail Cowen, Tom Lewis, Famke Janssen and more. ‘Endangered’ is reportedly commencing its filming by early 2024 in South Africa.
‘Endangered’ is adapted from the South African crime novels by Rudie Van Rensburg.
Stuart Urban to Direct ‘Endangered’
Stuart Urban, a known artist, is joining the crew for ‘Endangered’ as the director of the series. Some of the works of Stuart Urban include, ‘Revelation’ which premiered in 2001, ‘The Secret’ which featured James Nesbitt and Genevieve O’Reilly and ‘Tovarisch, I Am Not Dead’ which focused on the experiences of his father. Jake Riddell will be composing the screenplay for the upcoming series while also joining the crew as its producer.
Some of the other members of the production crew are, Vlokkie Gordon, Steve Lanning, Ben Lanning, Jake Lanning and Rudie Van Rensburg. Vlokkie Gordon is the CEO of Advantage Entertainment and her productions include, ‘Afterlife of the Party’, ‘Holiday in the Wild’ and more. Steve Lanning, Ben Lanning and Jake Lanning are popular producers who are members of ForLan Films, a production company established in 2013. Some of their productions include, ‘Eastern Promise’, ‘Moses Taite’s War’, ‘Snags’ and more. Rudie Van Rensburg is a surfacing producer.
Additionally, Kyle Cerminara, David Ozer, Scott Weinstock, Dan Reardon, Santosh Govindaraju, Nicola van Niekerk and Wikus du Toit will be a part of the production crew. Kyle Cerminara is an emerging producer. David Ozer is the president of Strong Studios, a production company. His productions include, ‘Trigger Point’ which was released in 2021. Scott Weinstock has previously worked in ‘Men, Flaws, and Menopause’. Dan Reardon Nicola van Niekerk are other emerging producers. Santosh Govindaraju’s projects include, ‘Meet Cute’ which starred Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson, ‘The Card Counter’ which premiered in 2021 and more. Wikus du Toit is a producer known for, ‘Gaia’, ‘Semi- Soet’, ‘Fiela’s Child’, ‘Stander’ and other works.
