‘Midnight Spies’ an upcoming feature film under Aperture Media Partners is rumored to star Nina Dobrev and Geoffrey Rush in lead roles. Nina Dobrev is a popular actress who received international stardom through her portrayal of Elena Gilbert in ‘The Vampire Diaries’, a TV series adapted from the novel series with the same title. Her other popular works include, ‘Love Hard’ in which she starred alongside Jimmy O. Yang, ‘Redeeming Love’ which premiered in 2022, ‘The Out-Laws’ featuring Ellen Barkin, Pierce Brosnan and Adam DeVine, to name a few. Geoffrey Rush is a popular actor whose works include, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film series in which he played the role of Hector Barbossa, ‘The Best Offer’ which premiered in 2013, ‘The Book Thief’- a novel adaptation and more. ‘Midnight Spies’ is alternatively titled as ‘Verona Spies’.
The upcoming feature film will narrate the tale of Verona who is mistaken for someone else and is hired as an escort/assassin. She is tasked with seducing a pharmaceutical executive in order to steal his formula for a revolutionary new drug that is capable of changing the world. However, things do not go as planned as sparks begin to fly when she meets her charmingly handsome target. Hence, instead of killing him, they team up and flee for their lives as hired killers chase them.
Crew, Setting, Status and More
With an actively developing production, ‘Midnight Spies’ will commence its filming soon in Los Angeles & Orange County. Joining the crew as the films producers are, Monella Kaplan, Slava Vladimirov and Vincent Newman. Monella Kaplan and Slava Vladimirov are emerging producers. Vincent Newman is the founder of Vincent Newman Entertainment, a known production company. Some of his productions include, ‘Maybe I Do’ which premiered in 2023, ‘About Fate’- a romantic comedy and more.
‘Midnight Spies’ is set to be directed by Frank Coraci. Frank Coraci is a filmmaker and writer who is known for, ‘The Waterboy’ which is a comedy featuring Adam Sandler, ‘Zookeeper’ which premiered in 2011 and ‘Here Comes the Boom’ which starred Kevin James among others. Moreover, Zaike LaPorte Airey and Bryan Okamoto will be composing the screenplay for the upcoming feature film. Zaike LaPorte Airey is popular for ‘Sweet Tooth’ which received a rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes and ‘Youth/Beauty’ which premiered in 2010. Bryan Okamoto is an emerging artist whose works include, ‘Every Little Step’ and more. Joining Aperture Media Partners in the development of ‘Midnight Spies’ are entertainment companies Spanknyce Films and Luminosity Entertainment.
