Created by Craig Ross Jr. and his wife Caryn Ward Ross, “Monogamy” is an American web TV drama series that premiered its first season on Urban Movie Channel on May 4, 2018.
The official synopsis reads: “The series follows four married couples and their unconventional form of therapy with the hopes of reviving their failing relationships.” It features Jill Marie Jones, Brian J. White, Vanessa Simmons, Darius McCrary, Wesley Jonathan, Caryn Ward Ross, Blue Kimble and Chrystee Pharris.
Speaking to ESSENCE about the show Craig Ross Jr. said, “Caryn and I sorta came up with [the show] together,” he explained. “We have constant conversations about our own relationship really, and we like to really just be honest about where we are and what’s happening. So we talk about what we need from each other and I think that, at some point, our conversations were about what our perfect partner looked like and how we could, you know, what we expected in the relationship, and so that’s kind of how, that was sort of the genesis of this project was it kind of emanated out of those conversations that my wife and I were having about our relationship.”
With three seasons released so far, fans are now anxiously awaiting the fourth season. But will there be a fourth season of Monogamy? Is it renewed yet? Here’s what we know about it.
Is Season 4 of Monogamy Renewed or Cancelled?
Currently, the show has neither been cancelled or renewed since there’s been no update from ALLBLK.
Nevertheless, “Monogamy” is indeed full of surprises and one helluva emotional rollercoaster ride. The previous two seasons did a pretty good job but in the third season, Caryn Ward Ross who plays Sincere pushed up to many levels and delivered the web series into overdrive. Undoubtedly, Chrystee Pharris who plays Diandra has one of the significant scenes in season three. “So much happened this season. Craig is a beast. This season I got to play a scene that I didn’t know, when we were filming, how powerful it would be or how it would touch and speak to so many women. There have been so many women who have told me they could relate to Diandra’s pain. And fans also shared how they understand Diandra much better now. It’s been amazing,” Pharris explained.
Although the series season 4 is not yet renewed, fans need not fret as there is a high chance that the show will be back for more.
When is the Release Date of Monogamy Season 4?
Monogamy first premiered on the Urban Movie Channel with its first and second seasons. Urban Channel Movie has now been rebranded to ALLBLK, the third season is aired on September 30, 2021, under that name. After a week, Netflix picked up season two on May 15, 2020, which was released at the end of 2019.
Netflix obtained the global International license to the web series implying that around except the US had a permit to view both the first and second seasons. Sadly, in May 2022 seasons 1 & 2 of Monogamy were removed from the giant streamer. A removal date of May 8, 2022, was shown with a message on the title stating “Last day to watch on Netflix” which was on May 7th, 2022.
As of now, the show is not renewed yet but if it gets renewed, season 4 of Monogamy will likely arrive on ALLBLK sometime in 2023.

Monogamy Season 4 Plot: What would it be about?
Plot details on season 4 of Monogamy are kept under wraps. It’s been almost a year since season 3 came out and there’s been no word from the creators till now conceding a fourth season. However, it is most likely that the creators are taking their time to come up with a compelling script to once again captivate the audience.

How many episodes could there be in season 4 of Monogamy?
The previous season of Sabikui Bisco had a total of 12 episodes. Thus, if the makers decide to follow a similar pattern, the second season may also comprise 12 episodes. However, there hasn’t been an official update yet.
