Directed by Nima Nourizadeh, American Ultra is an American comedy-drama, action, thriller movie. On August 21, 2015, the film was officially released. The story, written by Max Landis, revolves around a young lad Mike, who is a sleeper agent.
The film encompasses Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Walton Goggins, John Leguizamo, Bill Pullman, and Tony Hale as the cast members.
The series is produced by Anthony Bregman, Kevin Frakes, Raj Brinder Singh, David Alpert and Britton Rizzio.

American Ultra 2: When Is It Coming Out?
So far, there’s not much lead regarding the arrival of American Ultra 2. It seems that hardly ever now will this film be able to make a comeback.

American Ultra 2: What About The Ratings?
The first chapter of American Ultra has received tons of positive reviews from both fans as well as the critics. On IMDb, it received a mixed rating of 6.1 out of 10, while, on Metacritic, the film scored 50 out of 100 critics score and obtained a user choice rating of 6.1. Additionally, on Rotten Tomatoes, it obtained a 43% audience approval rating.

What to expect from the plot of American Ultra 2?
The film American Ultra is about Mike Howell. He’s a stoner. He works and lives as a convenience store clerk in Liman (West Virginia). Howell plans a trip to Hawaii with a friend, Phoebe Larson.
But he’s got a problem – every time he tries to get out of town, he suffers from intense panic attacks. He doesn’t know why Phoebe puts him up.
In Langley, Virginia, CIA agent Victoria Lasseter receives a coded warning. Her rival, Adrian Yates, and his similar “Toughguy” agents must eliminate Mike, the sole survivor of her Ultra “Wiseman.”
Lasseter feels the need to protect Mike. He goes to Liman and asks him to “activate” with a number of words. Mike doesn’t grasp its meaning and leaves her resigned and frustrated.
Mike finds that two Toughguys interfere with his car and is attacked. He activates training and kills them with a spoon. He calls Phoebe, who’s reaching him as Watts Sheriff is coming.
Yates sends two Tough Guy workers, Laugher and Crane to the sheriff’s station to kill Mike and Phoebe, but evades and kill Crane before escaping to Mike’s drug dealer Rose.
American Ultra 2 age rating
American Ultra is rated R. The scenes in the film comprise bloody action violence, drug use, sexuality, and pervasive language.
American Ultra won’t have a sequel: Here’s why
We believe there won’t be an American Ultra 2! It’s been a solid 8 years since there has been even a word of information regarding American Ultra’s sequel.
Nima Nourizadeh, the film’s director, once claimed he would consider making an American Ultra sequel if the audience requested one. However, at this moment, we can’t state with certainty whether the second part will ever arrive. Nima was also concentrating on his upcoming projects at the time of release.
Nima added that Max had previously prepared the sequel and had everything ready to go before the first part’s release. But in 2015, they were awaiting the audience’s reaction. Therefore, because we have stated that the movie received no response, we may infer that the sequel will be challenging, if not impossible. Max is undoubtedly a passionate writer, but writing is only one aspect of making a movie; there are always various parts to play.
We should probably give up on expecting a movie sequel because it seems like there won’t be one.
How did American Ultra end?
We watched Mike contact Yates towards the end and make plans to pick up Phoebe from a local grocery store. Yates brings Phoebe and several other assassins there. Mike drives through the business and enters using the fireworks. He engages all the assassins, dispatching them with whatever he can find in the store, such as a butcher cleaver and hammer.
He is left alone with Laugher as Yates escorts Phoebe away. She uses a paper clip to release her handcuffs before punching Yates. Once Victoria has him, she nearly kills him by strangling him with a cable before Krueger arrives and intervenes. Before Laugher slumps over and apologizes, stating he can’t control what he does and that Mike is a better agent than him, Mike is about to finish off Laugher.
When Mike locates Phoebe, they go outdoors to confront the SWAT team and other armed troopers. Mike uses this as an opportunity to ask Phoebe to marry him. She agrees, but the exchange is cut short as they are both tased.
Yates and Victoria are taken into the woods by Krueger, who chastises them for allowing all the killings to occur due to activating Mike. Yates is shot and killed by Krueger, who also comes close to doing the same to Victoria before she persuades him that Mike is a handy tool.
Mike and Phoebe are in the Philippines six months later on what seems to be a romantic vacation. Phoebe stares into a webcam as Victoria and Petey observe her as Mike departs from the front desk. As Victoria had intended, Mike enters a lift and is taken by two Mandarin thugs. The main mobster teases and threatens Mike, but Mike notices what he can grab in the room and reacts quickly.
Is American Ultra worth watching in 2023?
American Ultra is a quirky film that did what it set out to do and did it quite well. Although the subject matter was different, it had a similar vibe to Scott Pilgrim or Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. A love story with a secondary plot, I nearly had the impression that my enjoyment was immense.
