TORONTO — Twin Temple turned a tour firing into the best summer of their career, and now the Satanic doo-wop duo are coming north to collect. Live Nation Ontario announced that the band will headline The Opera House on March 2, 2027, with tickets going on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
It is a date their fall routing skipped entirely. The husband-and-wife team of Alexandra and Zachary James, who formed in Los Angeles in 2017, play 20 shows between Sept. 9 in Albuquerque and Oct. 8 in Sacramento, and exactly one of them is in Canada: Vancouver’s Vogue Theatre on Oct. 5. Toronto had to wait until 2027.
The run is split between headlining gigs and support slots for Danzig, including stops at Houston’s Bayou Music Center on Sept. 12, Nashville’s The Pinnacle on Sept. 18 and Anaheim’s Honda Center on Sept. 26. The band’s profile jumped in July when country singer Charley Crockett pulled them off two tour dates over their Satanic imagery — prompting Jack White to publicly offer them the opening slot at his Sept. 29 Hollywood Palladium show instead.
That controversy landed alongside a new album. Doomed Lovers, the duo’s third full-length, arrives Oct. 9 on their own Pentagrammaton Records, produced by Shooter Jennings and recorded analog at Sunset Sound with a 37-piece orchestra. The band described the record as “the philosophical centerpiece of the album — a theatrical and confessional take on all or nothing love,” written during what they called one of the darkest periods of their lives.
The mainstream look followed: a late-night debut on The Daily Show, where the pair performed “Haunt Me” in devil-red and told host Jordan Klepper that people assume Satanism means “nude under the full moon drinking chalices of blood,” adding, “we’re here to say that’s absolutely true.”
The Opera House has held its own since 1909, when it opened at 735 Queen Street East as a vaudeville and motion-picture house. As a roughly 1,000-cap room, it is a fair measure of where Twin Temple sit commercially: big enough for a headlining night, small enough that the March booking is a bet rather than a coronation.
Friday’s onsale will say how much of that attention has crossed the border. The doors open March 2, 2027.
