‘Deadly Invitations’, an upcoming project under Studio City Pictures will feature the story of a wife, mother and a brilliant journalist who will go to any length to expose the foul play associated with her husband’s death. Studio City Pictures is production company that primarily focuses on film and television projects. For, ‘Deadly Invitations’, Studio City Pictures will be collaborating with NGN Productions.
Jacob Nasser, a known producer, will be joining the crew of ‘Deadly Invitations’ which is to be released as a telefilm. He will be heading the production crew for the film which will commence its filming by the end of November, this year. Jacob Nasser is the founder of MyTime Movie Network and Nasser Entertainment Group. Some of his works include, ‘Sunrise in Heaven’ which starred Caylee Cowan and Travis Burns, ‘The Reliant’ which was released in 2019 and was directed by Paul Munger, ‘Killer Ending’- a crime drama released in 2018 and ‘Stagecoach: The Texas Jack Story’ which was directed by Terry Miles. ‘Deadly Invitations will supposedly be shot in Kentucky, and consequentially, there is a possibility of the film exploring the culture that the place is known for such as baseball, bluegrass music and simplistic living.
Plot of ‘Deadly Invitations’
As mentioned above, ‘Deadly Invitations’ will focus a middle aged woman who struggles to accept her husband’s suicide. Despite her intelligence, she is a discredited journalist who finds it hard to process her husband’s sudden death and suspects foul play. As she begins to investigate on her husband’s death, she uncovers the possibility of an intended murder all the while trying her best to protect her daughter. Though the recent loss has struck both the mother and daughter immensely, the mother unknowingly becomes reckless, which consequentially puts a rift between her and her daughter’s relationship. The film will also explore how the pair grieve their loved one’s loss separately and attempt to connect to one another.
Monika Mitchell to Direct the Upcoming Feature Film
Monika Mitchell is a known writer, director and producer who has worked in a number of works of entertainment such as, ‘Christmas Joy’- a romantic drama, ‘John Apple Jack’ which starred Kent S. Leung and Chris McNally, ‘Brazen’ which was released on Netflix in 2022 and featured Alyssa Milano and Sam Page in lead roles and ‘The Christmas Contract’ which premiered on Lifetime.
With the production for ‘Deadly Invitations’ commencing soon, there is a possibility of the film being released in early 2024.
