Metric’s Canadian run is seven days out, and the band is treating it like a curtain call. In a post on X, the Toronto group told fans it was the “last chance to catch all the feelings with us on these very special evenings in London, Ottawa, and Laval.”
Those three shows — Oct. 3 at Canada Life Place in London, Ont., Oct. 5 at The Arena at TD Place in Ottawa and Oct. 7 at Place Bell in Laval, Que. — are the closing dates of the All the Feelings Tour, a joint 34-show trek with Broken Social Scene and Stars that began June 8 and has routed through the U.S. and Europe before returning north.
Canada was nearly an afterthought when the triple bill was first announced on Feb. 3: the itinerary listed a lone domestic stop, Aug. 7 at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre. Six weeks later, on March 16, the bands added 14 dates, five of them Canadian — Calgary and Edmonton in June, plus the October trio now being billed as the finale.
The October dates are the last three on a 34-show itinerary
The expanded routing also added Dublin, Paris and Berlin, a reminder that the three acts, all products of Toronto’s late-’90s and early-2000s indie scene, have long since stopped being a domestic concern. Metric’s lineup — Emily Haines, James Shaw, Josh Winstead and Joules Scott-Key — has been intact for two decades, and Haines has been a recurring presence on Broken Social Scene records since the collective’s early years.
The tour follows Metric’s newest album, Romanticize the Dive, which arrived April 24, roughly six weeks before the first show in the run. It is the band’s first full-length since 2022’s Formentera and its sequel, Formentera II, issued 14 months apart.
For Stars, the trek doubles as a reunion of sorts with bandmates past: Torquil Campbell and Amy Millan have rotated through Broken Social Scene’s sprawling membership over the years, as has Metric’s Haines. Three headliners, one backline, and a setlist that has leaned heavily on each group’s mid-2000s peak.
Tickets for the remaining Canadian dates are still on sale through Live Nation and Ticketmaster. Then it’s over.
