John Swartz and Justin Springer are entering a collaboration for this upcoming sci-fi remake titled ‘Flight of the Navigator’. The original ‘Flight of the Navigator’ was released in 1986 which featured a young boy who gets knocked out in a forest. As he awakens and returns back home, he realizes that 8 years have passed and he has not aged one bit. The rest of the film explores the boy’s journey to discovering what went down in reality. The upcoming remake reprises the plot with a slight change. This time, a young girl will disappear for a period of 10 years and returns without aging.
Producer John Swartz is known for his films, ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ and ‘Star Wars the Force Awakens’ among others. Justin Springer is popular for ‘TRON: Legacy’, ‘TRON: Uprising’ (animated series) and ‘Oblivion’. As both the producers are masters in crafting sci-fi entertainers that are almost always blockbuster hits, there is no doubt that ‘Flight of the Navigator’ will also be a promising picture.
