‘In My Skin’s’ executive producer, Kayleigh Llewellyn is back with another series titled ‘Big Swiss’, a book adaptation. Being a book released this year, ‘Big Swiss’ by Jen Beagin narrates the love story between Greta and ‘Big Swiss’. Greta is a young woman who transcribes therapy sessions for a sex coach who goes by the name of ‘Om’. She lives with her friend Sabine in an ancient Dutch farmhouse in Hudson, New York which was built in 1737, and is unrenovated with a fair share of beehives. When she becomes infatuated with his latest client, who is a repressed married woman referred to as ‘Big Swiss’ (as she is tall and from Switzerland), things begin to get complicated and when Greta gets a chance to introduce herself to ‘Big Swiss’, she does so with a fake name though they quickly develop a liking for each other. Being alike in many ways, they both have dark histories, but while Big Swiss chooses to remain unattached to her suffering, Greta continues to be tortured by her past. Despite not knowing Greta’s true identity, ‘Big Swiss’ genuinely connects with Greta, who feels as if she is being her truest when she is beside ‘Big Swiss’. What follows is Greta’s inner guilt attempting to overpower her affections for the woman and the events caused by the same. The upcoming adaptation maintains the story of the book and is rumored to cast Jodie Comer in lead role.
Jodie Comer commenced her acting career through ‘The Royal Today’ which was followed by successive hits including, ‘Killing Eve’ in which she played the role of Villanelle, ‘Free Guy’, ‘Doctor Foster’ and ‘Thirteen’. She is supposedly co producing ‘Big Swiss’ alongside Adam McKay and Jen Beagin.
