The plot for this upcoming feature film titled as, ‘16 States’ does sound intriguing, but who is part of the crew? Our sources suggest that Vertigo Entertainment will be heading the development of the upcoming film alongside Zaftig Films and Lionsgate. Vertigo Entertainment is a company based in America and their productions include, ‘The LEGO Movie’ and its sequels, ‘It’ film series, ‘Barbarian’ which premiered in 2022, ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ which was directed by Olivia Wilde, ‘The Departed’ a crime thriller and more. Their upcoming movies include, ‘Minecraft’ an adaptation of the popular video game and ‘Ordinary Angels’ which will be directed by Jon Gunn. Zaftig Films is popular for, ‘Jungle Cruise’ film series, ‘Rabbit Hole’ which premiered in 2023 as a thriller, ‘This Is Us’ which ran for 6 seasons, and ‘Smallfoot’ which is a comedy, to name a few. Lionsgate is an established production company with several Award-winning works to its name such as, ‘The Hunger Games’ film series and more. Currently, ‘16 States’ is under production.
Eva Sørhaug Joins the Crew
Eva Sørhaug is a known filmmaker whose works include, ‘90 Minutes’ which premiered in 2012 as a dramatic thriller and ‘Cold Lunch’ which starred Pia Tjelta and Aksel Hennie. Reportedly, Eva Sørhaug will be directing ‘16 States’. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will be composing the screenplay for the upcoming feature film while also co- producing it. John Requa and Glenn Ficarra are a known screenwriter duo whose works include, ‘ Focus’ which premiered in 2015, ‘I Love You Phillip Morris’ a crime comedy, Zaftig Films’ ‘Rabbit Hole’, ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ which starred Ryan Gosling, Lio Tipton, Steve Carell and Emma Stone, ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’ which premiered in 2016 and more.
Joining John Requa and Glenn Ficarra as the producers for ‘16 States’ are Roy Lee, Miri Yoon, Charlie Gogolak, Shintaro Shimosawa and Rodolfo Sayagues. Roy Lee is the founder of Vertigo Entertainment and is an established producer. Miri Yoon is an executive producer at Vertigo Entertainment. Charlie Gogolak is a known member of Zaftig Films. Shintaro Shimosawa is a popular producer whose works include, ‘Misconduct’ which premiered in 2016, ‘The Echo’ a horror film, ‘M.F.A’ which was directed by Natalia Leite, and more.
