Tea Shop Productions’ upcoming project has its location in Cape Town, South Africa and is rumored to be directed by Andrew Baird. Titled as, ‘Cape Point’, the film will showcase a family deciding to go on a last minute vacation to a remote part of South Africa, only to encounter a strange couple and get entangled in unforeseen complications. Tea Shop Productions is a known company which was established in 2010 and is based in Los Angeles and London. Their, works include, ’47 Meters Down’ (2017), ‘Romans’ (2017), ‘Into the Deep’ (2022), ‘The Anomaly’ (2014), ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ (2012) and ‘Green Street 3’ (2013). Andrew Baird is an emerging artist whose works include, ‘Zone 414’ (2021) and ‘One Way’ (2022). ‘Fall’ is another upcoming project under Tea Shop Productions which is to be directed by Scott Mann. Cape Town has been a filming location for a number of works such as ‘Blood Diamond’ (2006), ‘Rendition’ 2007, ‘Warrior’ (2019) and more.
For the upcoming feature film, Tea Shop Productions will be joined by Film4 Productions for its development. Film4 Productions is amother production company based in the United Kingdom and are known for, ‘Last Night in Soho (2020), ‘Dream Horse’ (2020), ‘The Day Shall Come’ (2019), ‘Calm With Horses’ (2019), ‘How to Build a Girl’ (2019) and more. ‘Cape Point’ is currently under active development and is predicted to commence its filming soon.
James Harris and Nathan Klingher Teams Up
For the upcoming feature film, James Harris and Nathan Klingher will be heading its production crew. James Harris is a known producer whose works include, ‘Bar Fight!’ (2022), ‘I Am Soldier’ (2014), ‘We Summon the Darkness’ (2019) and ‘Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City’ (2019). Nathan Klingher’s works include, ‘Sam and Kate’ (2022), ‘Door Mouse’ (2023), ‘Infamous’ (2020) and more. Additionally, Nathan Klingher has worked alongside Andrew Baird for the films ‘Zone 414’ (2021) and ‘One Way’ (2022).
Niall Cassin, Fred Hogge and Jonathan W.C. Mills will be composing the screenplay for ‘Cape Point’. Niall Cassin is an emerging screenwriter and his works include, ‘The Night Girl’ (2018), ‘Mister Mayfair: Part 2’ (2021) and ‘The Movement’ (2018). Fred Hogge is an author and a screenwriter whose works include, ‘A Mermaid’s Tale’ (2017), ‘Final Portrait’ (2017) and more. Jonathan W.C. Mills is another emerging screenwriter who is known for, ‘Nothing Left to Fear’ (2013) and ‘Clockwork Orange County: The Rise of West Coast Punk Rock!’ (2012) which he directed. Other additions to the crew include Colin Jones, among others.
Not much is known regarding the plot for the upcoming film, yet, it will potentially announce a premiere date in the following year.
