Two very different rap-and-soul lanes are about to meet: Anderson .Paak and Cordae are joining forces for “A Good Day,” a new collaboration scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Pop Crave reported the news on X, sharing that the artists had teased the track and confirming its release date. No further details about the song’s production, artwork or whether it will lead a larger project were included.
The pairing brings together one of contemporary R&B’s most decorated multi-instrumentalists and a rapper whose breakthrough album earned major industry recognition. .Paak currently has nine Grammy wins and 15 nominations, while Cordae has received three nominations, including Best Rap Album for his 2019 debut, The Lost Boy.
That debut arrived as Cordae was establishing himself as one of rap’s most technically focused young voices. It earned a Best Rap Album nomination at the 2020 Grammy Awards, while “Bad Idea,” his collaboration with Chance the Rapper, was nominated for Best Rap Song.
.Paak’s path has moved fluidly between hip-hop, funk and soul. His 2016 album Malibu reached No. 5 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and brought him his first two Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist.
He later formed Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars, and the duo turned their 1970s-inspired sound into one of the Recording Academy’s biggest success stories of the decade. At the 2022 Grammys, Silk Sonic won all four awards for which it was nominated, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best R&B Song for “Leave the Door Open.”
“A Good Day” will also arrive as .Paak’s latest high-profile collaboration after his recent work with Disclosure on “No Cap,” which was nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording at the 2026 Grammys. For Cordae, the track adds another stylistic crossover to a catalog built around lyric-heavy rap.
The song arrives September 16, just two days from now.
