Aaron Abrams, the popular Canadian actor/ writer is supposedly in talks for an upcoming horror thriller titled, ‘Clown in a Cornfield’. The actor who is known for his performances in movies such as ‘Closet Monster’ (2015), ‘The Go-Getters’ (2018) and ‘It Was You Charlie’ (2013) besides his roles in series such as ‘Children Ruin Everything’ and ‘Producing Parker’. ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ will narrate the incidents that occur in the town of Kettle Springs, a seemingly boring town to which characters Quinn Maybrook and her father move to in order to have a fresh start. What the duo do not realize is that ever since the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory in the town has been shut down, Kettle Springs has been in chaos with the adults on one side wanting to regain Kettle Springs’ glory and kids on the other who are focused on having fun, making prank videos, and leaving Kettle Springs for good. Things begin to go downhill when Frendo, the Baypen mascot, a clown goes homicidal and begins a string of murders assuming that the only way for Kettle Springs to become great again is by cutting off the kids who live there now.
Adapted from the 2020 horror novel by Adam Cesare, ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ resembles its source text in many ways ranging from the characters, to the plot and possibly the climax. Narrating a teenage girl’s experience with the proceedings of the new town she relocates to, ‘Clown in a Cornfield’, the novel received positive reviews upon its release which was followed by the release of the second book in the series titled, ‘Clown in a Cornfield 2: Frendo Lives’ on August 23 of this year. The film adaptation of the book will feature the events that takes place in Book 1 and is supposedly being developed under Temple Hill Productions.
Talks on the Crew
As per our sources, Carson MacCormac, an emerging actor who is known for his roles in ‘Cold Hands’ (2017) and ‘Zombie At 17’ (2018) will most likely be joining Aaron Abrams in the cast for the movie. ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ is to be directed by Eli Craig whose works include ‘Tucker & Dale vs. Evil’ (2010), ‘Little Evil’ (2017) and ‘Deal of a Lifetime’ (1999) which starred Kevin Pollak in the lead role. Eli Craig will be joined by Marty Bowen (co founder of Temple Hill Productions), Wyck Godfrey (co founder of Temple Hill Productions), Petersen Harris, George Berman and John Fischer who will be forming the production team. ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ has reportedly commenced its shooting this month in Winnipeg, Canada.
For all the fans of the book series, ‘Clown in a Cornfield’ is predicted to be a true adaptation of the fiction which is bound to give you chills!
