Welcome to Waikiki is a South Korean comedy drama series that was launched in 2018 on JTBC network. With the success of the first series, the makers announced a second season on June 6, 2018, which premiered on March 25, 2019. Both seasons 1 & 2 earned massive popularity across the globe. Now here arises a question whether or not a third season of Welcome to Waikiki will happen.
It seems that fans have been clamoring for a new season since the second season ended but currently, there aren’t any concrete details regarding the prospect of the drama series. Welcome to Waikiki Season 3 Release Date: When Is It?
The Korean drama series is yet to be renewed. It’s not known if the series will return but given the success of the show, it’s likely that a third season will happen; however, we can’t be too certain as nothing is confirmed by the makers.

The official cast line for season 3 of Welcome to Waikiki is yet to be announced. Moreover, it’s difficult to predict who will return as in the second season Lee Yi Kyung was the only original major character who returned for season 2, and joining him were new cast members.
Back in 2019, actor Lee Yi Kyung was asked if he would return in the next season if commissioned to which he responded: “I’d like it if there were a third and fourth season. There’s no reason for me not to join, and I’d like it if the cast stayed the same.”
He further explained that he and his fellow cast members haven’t discussed much about the likelihood of a new season. “Then again, it’s not like the season one cast discussed there being a second season, either.”
