Tickets for the only Canadian stop on Gnarls Barkley’s first tour in 18 years are now on sale, and Toronto gets exactly one shot at it: Nov. 22 at HISTORY.
Live Nation Ontario announced the on-sale in a post on X, pointing fans to the Queen Street East room. “Tickets are ON SALE now,” the promoter wrote, peach emoji attached. General on-sale opened Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. local time, after Citi, Spotify and artist presales.
The run, announced Sept. 18, is the duo’s first since Sept. 28, 2008, when CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse last shared a stage at Austin City Limits. It backs Atlanta, their third and final album, which landed in March via 10k Project/Atlantic and closed an 18-year recording silence broken first by the single “Pictures.”
Toronto sits seventh on the nine-city North American routing, which opens Nov. 5 at The Masonic in San Francisco and closes Nov. 28 at House of Blues Chicago. Duckwrth opens the Toronto date; Gallant takes the earlier West Coast and Atlanta shows. A four-night UK leg follows in December, wrapping Dec. 12 at London’s British Airways ARC.
No second Ontario date has been added, and the calendar around it is tight — The Fillmore Silver Spring on Nov. 19, Irving Plaza in New York on Nov. 24. HISTORY, the roughly 2,500-capacity venue Live Nation opened on the city’s east side in 2021, is the smallest room on the itinerary after New York’s Irving Plaza.
Twenty years separate this tour from “Crazy,” the debut single from St. Elsewhere that peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2006 and became the first song to reach No. 1 on the UK singles chart through download sales alone, holding the spot for nine consecutive weeks. St. Elsewhere took the Grammy for best alternative music album the following February.
Green has framed the reunion as a farewell rather than a comeback. “These songs are the silver lining to an otherwise sad story,” he said in a statement when the dates were announced. “Come, and let’s celebrate together the beautiful madness of it all.”
For Toronto, the routing leaves no room for a second chance: one night at HISTORY, wedged between Maryland and Manhattan, before the tour moves on for good.
