Will “The Expanse Season 7” be renewed or canceled?
Created by Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby, The Expanse is a science fiction series based on the James S. A. Corey novel series of the same name. The show follows the salvage ship Rocinante’s crew navigating solar system politics, conflicts, and mysteries.
The Expanse debuted on Syfy in 2015. The show was renewed for a second season after critical and commercial success. The show ended in 2018 after three seasons on Syfy.
Fans of The Expanse were furious over the cancellation and started a campaign to save it. The promotion worked, as Amazon Prime Video renewed the show for a fourth season. A fifth season of The Expanse premiered in 2020 after a fourth in 2019. The sixth and final season of The Expanse premiered in December 2021.
At this time of writing, Amazon Prime Video has not announced a seventh season of The Expanse, despite its critical praise and popularity. However, the cast and producers have shown optimism.

As of yet, there’s no release date for The Expanse season seven, as the show hasn’t been officially greenlit. We can expect it to air sometime in late 2024 or early 2025 if renewed. However, this is just speculation, and we’ve got to wait before any official announcement is made.
