Conceived by Baltasar Kormákur, “Trapped” is a massively popular Icelandic Nordic noir thriller drama series that premiered on Iceland RÚV channel on December 27, 2015. The series is produced by RVK Studios. “Trapped” is co-penned by Sigurjón Kjartansson and Clive Bradley, the first season which consisted of ten episodes centres on Andri Ólafsson (Ólafur Darri Ólafsson), the head of police in an isolated town in Iceland, unraveling the killing of a former townsman whose incapacitated body is retrieved by fishermen. The series was helmed by Kormákur, Baldvin Z, Óskar Thor Axelsson, and Börkur Sigthorsson.
