Samantha is dedicated to her sobriety and works in a different media business in Season 2. However, she encounters several challenges. Sam’s sponsor in Alcoholics Anonymous, journalist Olivia (Rebecca Henderson), tells her that she needs to go away to enable a quiet pregnancy. Her ex-boyfriend and fellow alcoholic, James (Garrick Bernard), unexpectedly reappears in her life.
With her new supervisor replaced by the obnoxious Nathaniel (Jon Glaser), Sam must balance maintaining her emotional independence with setting boundaries at work. Regarding the potential third season of The Single Drunk Female, creator Simone Finch has stated that, given the chance, she would like to delve even deeper into the complex mother-daughter relationship between Sam and Carol.
According to Yahoo, Finch stated, “I’d like to go even deeper, if that’s possible, in the third season,” in an interview with the Daily Beast. I’m not quite sure what that is yet. I’ve been considering it. We have to somehow maintain that conflict because they are the centre of the programme,” she said.
The central theme of Single Drunk Female is the complicated connections that women have with one another, whether they are friends like Sam and Felicia (Lily Mae Harrington) or mother and daughter. The release date for season 3, however, isn’t revealed at the moment.
