A corrupt officer on one side and a young rookie who believes that he can change the system. What is to happen when they face each other in the corrupt world of politics, crimes and gang wars? Meyers Media Group’s upcoming production is predicted to be an action packed thriller that will showcase two sides to fighting crime. Titled, ‘Mace’, the movie introduces two cops with opposing views – Officer Mace, who is lethal and corrupt, and Virgil Woods, a young policeman who wishes to uproot corrupt officers like Mace for good. As Woods gears up to face Mace, refusing to be bullied, he tries everything within his power to prevent the dangerous cop from wreaking havoc in the city. Meanwhile, Mace unleashes a gang war in order to cover up his crimes. The man would do anything to hide his tracks and it is up to Woods to stop him.
Set to grace the screens in lead roles are actors Shia LaBeouf, Trevor Jackson and Bella Thorne. Shia LaBeouf gained immense popularity through his portrayal as Sam Witwicky in the ‘Transformers’ film series. His other works include ‘Fury’, ‘The Peanut Butter Falcon’, ‘Constantine’ and many more. Trevor Jackson is a popular actor/ singer/ songwriter who is also famous for his character portrayals in movies, ‘Superfly’, ‘Burning Sands’ and TV series, ‘Grown-ish’ and ‘K.C. Undercover’. Bella Thorne is a much adored actress who first gained prominence through starring in Disney’s ‘Shake It Up’ alongside Zendaya. Her other popular films include, ‘Midnight Sun’, ‘The Duff’ and ‘The Babysitter’ series. Together, the trio is predicted to deliver a power packed performance.
Who is in the Crew?
‘Mace’ is reportedly going to be directed by Jon Amiel, a successful filmmaker who is popular for his works, ‘Entrapment’, ‘The Core’, ‘Creation’ and many more. Meyers Media Group’s Lawrence Steven Meyers, Randy Dannenberg and John Evangelides will be producing this upcoming feature film alongside Brendan McDonald, Kirk D’Amico and Robert Maclean. David Chisholm is set to join the crew as the writer for the film.
With its setting being New Jersey, ‘Mace’ is supposedly an insight into the world of corrupt public servants who are involved with the underworld. The film will focus on how deceit clashes with morality through the eyes of Mace (played by Shia LaBeouf) and Virgil Woods (played by Trevor Jackson). Though there has been no official updates on the premiere of the film, based on the active casting and development taking place for the movie, the film is expected to commence its production soon!
