Netflix’s upcoming feature film is a horror thriller titled as, ‘Dark Park’. Being taken up under Complete Fiction Pictures, the film is centered around a haunted theme park as the title suggests and will follow a group of strangers who are invited to the same. The reason for their invitation is supposedly to get them to try it out exclusively before its “grand opening”. Soon, they discover that the invite is with a different intention in mind and in actuality, the rides are killing off the guests one by one for a very specific purpose. The rest of the film will follow how the group attempts to survive the attack. Complete Fiction Pictures are known for their works such as, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ which premiered in 2004 as a horror comedy starring Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and more, ‘Sightseers’ which was directed by Ben Wheatley and premiered in 2012, ‘The Kid Who Would be King’ featuring Rhianna Dorris, Patrick Stewart, Louis Ashbourne Serkis and Dean Chaumoo, to name a few. Fort the upcoming feature film, Complete Fiction Pictures will be collaborating with MRC Film. MRC Film is another popular production company who are known for their works ‘Persuasion’ a book adaptation starring Dakota Johnson, ‘Hotel Transylvania: Transformania’ which premiered in 2022, ‘Jerry and Marge Go Large’ starring Bryan Cranston, K.D. O’Hair and Annette Bening, ‘The Blackening’ a horror comedy to name a few.
Joe Cornish to Direct ‘Dark Park’
Joe Cornish is a known comedian/ filmmaker whose works include, ‘Attack the Block’ which premiered in 2011, ‘Lockwood and Co’ a recent Netflix series under Complete Fiction Pictures, ‘The Adventures of Tintin’ which was directed by Steven Spielberg and more. For the upcoming feature film, Joe Cornish will be joining the crew as its director. Additionally, he will be composing the screenplay for the movie. Nira Park is supposedly the producer of ‘Dark Park’. Nira Park is an established creator who is the founder of Big Talk Studios, a production company. She is also a recipient of several nominations. Her works include, ‘The World’s End’ which premiered in 2013 as a sci- fi comedy, ‘Cuban Fury’ starring Nick Frost, Rashida Jones and Olivia Colman, ‘The Sparks Brothers’ which is a documentary on the music career of Ron and Russell Mael and Marvel’s ‘Ant Man’ starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michael Peña.
With its production currently under active development, ‘Dark Park’ will potentially air in the following year on Netflix.
