The South Korean drama, Missing: The Other Side opened to positive reception from critics and viewers alike back in 2020. The series is a visual treat to thriller and fantasy fans with its riveting storyline and relatable characters. Centering upon the emotional and heartbreaking stories of a mysterious village, Duon village, where the dead live happily after, the show has given solace and comfort in its own strange ways to viewers of all kinds. With its second installment already out on Tvn, fans are looking ahead to see its future episodes. But, as of now, there is no renewal announcement for S3, leaving fans wondering about the series’ future.
It is too early to get any solid word on S3 because the next batch of episodes has just arrived. Don’t we want to be fully invested in the episodes until we hear any confirmation news? With that in mind, here is everything you must know about Missing: The Other Side Season 3, its premiere date, cast, and more
Missing: The Other Side Season 3 Airing date
The Korean drama does not have a specific airing date for its future episodes as of now. However, we can be optimistic that it lands on our screens later anytime.
Its inaugural run launched in August 2020 followed by a quick renewal of part two that was premiered in Q4 of 2022. Thus, its consistency gives us hope that fans would not wait for long to watch its new episodes. Assuming things go smoothly and the renewal arrives by early 2025, or else we could anticipate S3 in the last quarter of 2024 as well.
Go Soo, Heo Joon Ho, Lee Jung Eun, Ahn So Hee, And More Share Closing Comments on Season 2 finale…
Cast members Go Soo, Heo Joon Ho, Lee Jung Eun, Ahn So Hee, Kim Dong Hwi, and Ha Jun all said their final goodbyes to the drama after the “Missing: The Other Side 2” conclusion.
Kim Wook, played by Go Soo, was a good-hearted con man who did everything in his power to ease the suffering of the residents of the hamlet. “I have mixed feelings as we wrap up the long journey of ‘Missing: The Other Side’ from Season 1 to Season 2,” the actor said in a statement. It felt as though I was directly in the center of other people’s tales while playing Kim Wook, a character who links and communicates between the living and the dead.
I thank the staff, writer, director, and my co-stars for being a part of the wonderful and moving project ‘Missing: The Other Side,’ he continued. I hope that this initiative continues to honor the memory of those who have tragically gone missing and pay close attention to the experiences of our neighbors, some of whom may resemble people we know.
“Thank you so much for watching ‘Missing: The Other Side 2’ all the way through,'” said Kim Dong Hwi, whose character Oh Il Yong brought tension and intrigue to the drama. Even though it seems like filming only got underway yesterday, it’s time to say goodbye to the audience after much running around. I hope you were at least a little moved and entertained while watching our drama.
I hope ‘Missing: The Other Side’ develops into a drama that can move forward with Season 3 and Season 4 with a lot of love and interest from viewers,’ he continued. I’ll put in a lot of effort in the future to develop into the hard-working, thoughtful, and reflective actor Kim Dong Hwi. I solicit a lot of assistance.

Go Soo as Kim Wook, a con artist with impeccable talking skills, Heo Joon Ho as Pan Seok, a living secret seeker of the Duon Village, Ahn So Hee plays Lee Jong Ah, and Ha Jun as Shin Joon Ho.
Aside from the main characters, season two saw Lee Jung Eun and Kim Dong Hwi as the newest additions to the cast. It is yet unclear which of these will make a comeback in a possible third part.
Missing: The Other Side Season 3 Plot details:
The future plot heavily depends upon the ending of season two. So far, we have no official plot synopsis for season 3, making it hard to predict the storyline for further seasons fully. But, it is certain that the group will go on uncovering the truths behind mysterious disappearances and help the dead find a closure. Season 2 focuses on a new village, New Industrial Complex with new twists and turns. Kim Wook, Jang Pan-seok, and Lee-Jong-ah remain at the forefront to investigate the cases of missing people with no bodies to be found anywhere.
The last season saw the main characters longing to see their loved ones after they vanished from their lives. Kim Wook searched for his mother, who died when he was young, Pan-seok had a longing to see his daughter whereas Lee-Jong has been on a quest to find his fiancee after they parted ways after an argument.
Every dead soul/character living in Duon village meets its bittersweet end. The heartwarming stories of the characters have resonated with the audiences and gave them happy tears throughout the season.
If a third season happens, it will be equal parts of drama, mystery, and fantasy similar to its predecessors.

Netflix’s Missing The Other Side Ending Explained
The Other Side episode 12 begins by Wook getting set to walk into Dong-Min’s hospital room. He heads inside after starting a recording on his phone. Wook tries to suffocate the culprit with a pillow after the killer confesses to all of his crimes since it is too much for him. While trying to stop him, Jun-Ho rushes inside and manages to convince Dong-Min to reveal Yeo-Na’s location.
Wook later apologizes to his mother for the previous day in the village. She assures him that she is aware of his feelings and that she can relate. She tells him it’s her fault because she took him to the house and broke her vow, and she is proud of the man he has grown to be. Myung-Jin has agreed to meet with Pan-Seok in the interim. His only response when he asks the murderer again where his daughter is is, “You haven’t changed,”
Later on in the cafe, Thomas tells Wook his real name is Cha Gwon Muk, a member of the Guryong Cha family’s 34th generation. He perished while crossing the Amnok River during the Korean War. He describes how he arrived and adds that he thinks there might be other locations like Duon.
Jong-A, Wook, and Pan-Seok visit Jun-Ho on the day of the funeral to show their respect. Thomas was present as Yeo-Na left, and Wook reports that she was grinning. When the chairwoman sees a picture of Yeo-Na, she realizes that Yeo-Na is wearing the same necklace that her daughter once wore.
After solving Joon-Soo’s case, Wook, and Pan Seok leave as the program comes to a close. They come to see a young child playing with a football who Pan Seok thinks looks rather familiar. The young girl then makes her way toward other children, including Hyun-Ji, by crossing the street. She claims to have seen Hyun-Ji’s father and the children run through a portal in the direction of the two guys.
