A live action ‘Naruto’ movie is reportedly under production and is predicted to be a power packed entertainer possibly starring Ken Watanabe and Dallas Liu. ‘Naruto’ is a popular Japanese manga series from the 2000s with a major fan base and a series of movies. The manga was created by Masashi Kishimoto and focuses on the titular character with a remarkable skill and a constant ambition. The upcoming feature film will feature characters from the manga/ animated series and will be taken up under Arad Productions.
Arad Productions is a known production company founded by Avi Arad and they will be developing this upcoming project alongside, Animal Logic Entertainment, Picturestart, Filosofia and Lionsgate. Some of the popular works of Arad Productions include, ‘Bratz’ which premiered in 2007, ‘Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures’ an animated series that ran for 2 seasons and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ starring, Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac and more. Ken Watanabe is a popular actor whose films include, ‘Last Samurai’ which premiered in 2003, ‘Memoirs Of A Geisha’ which starred Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li and more, ‘Inception’ which was directed by Christopher Nolan, ‘Godzilla’ which premiered in 2014 and ‘Kubi’ which was directed by Takeshi Kitano. Dallas Liu is another known actor whose works include, ‘PEN15’ which ran for 2 seasons, ‘Underdog Kids’ which was directed by Philip Ree and ‘Legendary Dudas’ which premiered in 2009.
Tasha Huo to Compose the Screenplay for ‘Naruto’
Tasha Huo is an emerging artist whose works include, ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ which premiered in 2022 and more. Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Erik Feig and Tetsu Fujimura will be joining the crew for the upcoming feature film as its producers. Ari Arad is a co- founder of Arad Productions and is a known producer. Erik Feig is the CEO of Picturestart and is another known producer. Tetsu Fujimura is an established producer whose works include the 2010 film ‘Tekken’.
The upcoming ‘Naruto’ film will commence through an introduction to the Nine-Tails who has been attacking The Hidden Leaf Village for 12 years, destroying much of the village and taking many lives. Though the leader of the village, the Fourth Hokage sacrificed his life and sealed the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Naruto Uzumaki, what consequentially followed was Naruto being shunned by the villagers, who view him as the Nine-Tails itself. The film will follow how Naruto vows to be acknowledged by becoming the greatest Hokage the village had ever seen.
