Eva Mendes took on a vocal portrayal in ‘Bluey’ after a seemingly large break from acting. In the animated series which is a comedy centered on puppies, she appeared as a yoga instructor in one of its episodes. Being a popular actress, Eva Mendes has appeared in over 40 projects and is additionally known as a model. Some of her popular roles are Roxanne Simpson in ‘Ghost Rider’ which is based on the character from Marvel Comics, Sara Melas in ‘Hitch’ which premiered as a romantic comedy in 2005, Monica Fuentes in ‘2 Fast 2 Furious’ the second film in the ‘Fast and Furious’ film series, Romina in ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ a crime drama, Sheila Gamble in ‘The Other Guys’ which premiered in 2010, Alex Diaz-Whitlock in the 2013 film ‘Out of Time’ and Sara in ‘Training Day’ which also starred Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. The short film ‘California Romanza’ was both directed and written by Eva Mendes. Her last on- screen character portrayal was for the movie ‘Lost River’ which premiered in 2014 as a fantasy thriller. In the film, she played the role of Cat. Other members in the cast for ‘Lost River’ include Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks, Ben Mendelsohn and Matt Smith, to name a few. The film was directed by Ryan Gosling.
Not much is known regarding the upcoming projects of Eva Mendes and hence the likelihood of Eva Mendes returning to screens remains narrow at the moment. That being said, a few guesses can be made. If a potential ‘Ghost Rider’ reboot ends up happening, the cast members of the original film could make an appearance. This would mean Nicholas Cage and Eva Mendes returning in their roles. Unfortunately, no official updates have been made on the matter and such a possibility remains highly unlikely.
