It all started at the movie set of Adult World in 2012, and in the span of 4 years, the two have shared the screen more times than Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters. They were the epitome of toxic people in love – we’re talking about at least three breakups, one nasty domestic violence incident, makeups, deleting all social media traces of each other, then again sharing the screen on American Horror Story, a broken engagement. Now they seem to have separated again…
How did it all start?
Sparks didn’t fly immediately after their first meet at the set of Adult World in 2012. It wasn’t until a few months after filming wrapped that the duo became a couple — but even after that, they both had a bumpy ride. Phew… wanna get a rollercoaster ride without getting on a rollercoaster? Just follow Emma Roberts and Evan Peters’s relationship, they have all the weirdest annotations in their relationship, including an alleged domestic violence incident, an engagement, co-starring roles, and three breakups.
At the set of their movie, Adult World, the actress admitted to having a crush on Evan during production; they didn’t strike up a romance until after filming wrapped.
“Everyone thought we dated on the movie and we didn’t,” – said Emma on an episode of Chelsea Lately. Emma mentioned she wants to assert that she and Evan were gonna a date; she hit on Evan first in her words, “I’d be like, ‘Hey, what’s up?” But our boy didn’t budge; Evan thought She was weird.
Although they had a bumpy start, they did have some cute moments together, talking about a couple of goals… taking strolls around Paris and NYC and attending red carpets together; they had it all.

After doing DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Evan Peters dated many women, but his longest relationship lasted 7 years with Emma Roberts. Apart from an eight-year relationship, and an engagement, the duo co-starred in the movie Adult World(2013) and multiple seasons of American Horror Story.
Their relationship was on and off from 2012 to 2019.
In 2013, Roberts was arrested for a domestic violence case where Peters was the victim. Police investigated the couple’s hotel room and found Peter with a bite mark and a bloody nose, while Roberts appeared unscathed. She was in custody for several hours and then released as her boyfriend chose not to press charges.
Just five months after the domestic violence case,Peters and Emna got engaged. Roberts was on cloud nine and flaunted her gold and diamond engagement ring on several red carpets. Then again the two actors broke off their engagement in 2015, only to get back together a few months later in 2016. Their last official break up news was in 2019.
Roberts spoke about the breakup in an interview with Cosmopolitan.“I think that no matter who you are or what you do or wherever in the world you are, anything ending is hard,” she shared. “Losing something is hard.”
