After quite a while, a new rom com is reportedly under production and it is predicted to deliver humor and warmth to all its viewers’ hearts. Titled, ‘Near Miss’, the feature film will focus on Jim who is persuaded by his friends to start dating again after his separation with his wife, and the consequences that follow when he falls in love again. ‘Near Miss’ is rumored to star David Fynn, Tahirah Sharif, Timothy Renouf and Remy Beasley. David Fynn is an actor/ screenwriter whose works include, ‘Big Bad World’ and ‘The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe’. Tahirah Sharif is a known actress who is popular for her roles in ‘The Tower’, ‘Escape the Field’ and ‘A Town Called Malice’. Timothy Renouf is also well known for a number of his works such as, ‘Afterlife of the Party’ which starred Victoria Justice, ‘Killer Weekend’ a horror comedy, ‘A Very British Scandal’ and more. Remy Beasley is an emerging actress who is known for her portrayal of Beyoncé Evans in the comedy series titled, ‘Stella’. The film is reportedly taken up under Bandit Country and RAFN Films.

‘Near Miss’ will follow Jim, a man who married the first woman to ever show him any interest. However, when she leaves him after fifteen years, he is left devastated. Persuaded by his friend to enter back into the dating game, he is made to hit the dating apps and play the field. But, as it usually does, things do not go in the intended way as Jim falls in love with a woman who happens to be the second person ever to show him any interest.
Jamie Rafn is joining the crew for ‘Near Miss’ as the film’s director. Jamie Rafn is an emerging director whose works include, ‘The Man Who Walked Around the World’ and ‘Tokyo Jim’, a short comedy. Josephine Rose is rumored to be heading the production team for the upcoming feature film. Some of the films produced by Josephine Rose include, ‘Slaughterhouse Rulez’, ‘Brotherhood’ and ‘Pin Cushion’. Other additions to the crew include, Federico Alfonzo, Eloise Loach and Anna Kennedy.
The shooting for this upcoming film has supposedly commenced in September with London serving as the primary location for ‘Near Miss’. The film is predicted to announce its premiere soon and for all the romcom fans out there, here is another anticipated release to add onto your list.
