Dark Harvest had a one-day theatrical release exclusively in a few Alamo Drafthouse Cinema theaters on October 11, 2023.

Dark Harvest Season 2 Release Date
After a one-night-only screening on October 11, 2023, in a few Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations, Dark Harvest was made available digitally on October 13, 2023. As far as the second season’s release is concerned, we don’t have any official information from the makers. Dark Harvest Season Two Plot: What to Expect?
The series revolves around Sawtooth Jack—the main threat to Dark Harvest—while it’s unclear where Jack came from or what his actual motivations are. This 2023 horror film is an adaptation of the same-titled cult novel.
David Slade (30 Days of Night) directed Dark Harvest, which takes place in a remote community in what looks to be the 1950s. Every year, the town’s teenage guys compete by having to track down and murder an animal that appears in the cornfields. The town’s prosperity is meant to be guaranteed for another year by the monster’s death, and the winning boy is free to depart.
The Sawtooth Jack portrayed by Jim in the book makes it to the church. He then puts an end to the craziness by setting the town on fire. Although the mid-credits sequence suggests a possible sequel, the movie has a different approach to the story. Similar to Jim before him, Richie’s body is exhumed from the cornfields and nailed to a cross. However, his father, Dan (Jeremy Davies) murders the farmer before the hunt can start.
The creature howls in rage as Dan orders Richie/Sawtooth Jack to “Burn it all down!” Before Dark Harvest goes to the credits. Even if it doesn’t appear like the movie has done well enough to justify a sequel, this credits scene at least gives the impression that Richie will end the town’s bizarre tradition.
The movie was initially scheduled for a theatrical release, but it was abruptly dropped and published directly to digital platforms after missing a few release dates.
