2023 seems to be the year for power packed action thrillers as another addition to the genre is reportedly under works. ‘Casino Royale’s’ Martin Campbell brings before you, a tale narrated through Joey Locke, an ex-soldier turned window cleaner who must intervene when a hostage seizure intended for a good cause becomes hijacked by an extremist. ‘Cleaner’ as the movie is titled, begins with an introduction to an energy company’s annual gala which is interrupted by activists who seize the building and keep the people present as hostages with the intention of exposing the company’s corruption. However, matters take a turn for the worse as an extremist begins to murder the hostages. Now enters a cleaner with a mysterious past who must come to the people’s rescue and bring the guilty before the law.
Supposedly starring in this epic thriller is none other than Daisy Ridley and Clive Owen. Daisy Ridley is a renowned actress worldwide who gained immense popularity from portraying Rey in the ‘Star Wars’ sequel films. She has also played notable roles in movies like ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ and ‘Ophelia’. Clive Owen is another popular actor whose films include ‘Close My Eyes’, ‘Children of Men’, ‘King Arthur’ and ‘The Bourne Identity’. Set in London, the film will potentially showcase Clive Owen in the role of ‘Joey Locke’. Both the actors are well known for their acting prowess and it will be a true delight to witness their performance in ‘Cleaner’, if the rumors are indeed true!

Martin Campbell’s works speak quality when it comes to the action genre. His movies ‘GoldenEye’, ‘The Mask of Zorro’ and ‘Memory’ are proofs of the same. The upcoming feature film is also predictably going to be as engaging in the usual Martin Campbell fashion. Seemingly joining Martin Campbell in the crew are producers Sébastien Raybaud (CEO of Anton) and Callum Grant. Simon Uttley will presumably be taking up the role of the writer for the film. Being produced under Anton Corp, a production company known for a range of films, television works and documentaries, ‘Cleaner’ will most likely have chilling and intense sequences. Some of the popular works under Anton include ‘Choose or Die’, ‘The Pursuit of Love’, and ‘His Dark Materials’ (an adaptation of Philip Pullman’s novel series with the same name).
