A father-son duo and a notorious gang of thieves, two sides with their eyes on the same prize, except one wishes to protect it while the other wishes to claim it. In an intense truck chase, James and Casey must fend off the unexpected attack that leads them to a decrepit bridge before heir time runs out. But James is ready to risk it all, to protect his son. An action thriller centered on filial love is actively under development and is rumored to star none other that the Hollywood icon, Sylvester Stallone. Titled, ‘Armored’, the feature film is seemingly already under production with Mississippi serving as the film’s location. Sylvester Stallone was previously seen in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3’ in the role of ‘Starhawk’ the infamous antihero in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Universe and in ‘Expend4bles’ the fourth movie in the series. In this upcoming production by Steven Small, Gwen Osborne and Joel Cohen, Sylvester Stallone will potentially take the center stage.
What is ‘Armored’ About?
As mentioned above, Armored will focus on how James and Casey will overcome the sudden invasion that they encounter. As per the supposed plot, James is described as an Armored security guard who along with his son transports money between banks. In the exposition, they encounter a band of thieves under Rook, who pursues the duo and eventually has them cornered. In the consequential complication, James and Casey are jammed inside their truck that would fall off a bridge anytime now. What follows is how James gives it his all to protect his son.
‘Armored’ is set to be directed by Justin Routt with Cory Todd Hughes and Adrian Speckert, both emerging artists, undertaking the screenplay. Possibly joining Sylvester Stallone in the cast are Dash Mihok, Victoria Paige Watkins, Josh Wiggins and Erin Ownbey. Dash Mihok is an actor/ director, known for his work in movies such as ‘Wildflower, ‘Lifted’ and ‘The Girl Who Invented Kissing’. Victoria Page is another surfacing actress while Josh Wiggins is known for his role in movies ‘Hellion’ and ‘Mean Dreams’ among others. Erin Ownbey is also an active performer in the industry.
The role that will supposedly be played by Sylvester Stallone is that of an armored person on duty, hence the title. Stallone’s name is often associated with one his most jaw dropping performances as ‘Rocky Balboa, in the film series ‘Rocky’, a personal favorite. Stallone is credited with a number of works such as ‘The Expendables’, ‘Rambo’, ‘Creed’, Escape Plan’ and so on. As action thrillers are the forte of the much adored actor, fans can expect an entertaining and enlivening performance on the upcoming film!
