Clare Anyiam-Osigwe is an emerging director whose works supposedly air on BBC, Ch4 and ITV. The award winning artist is reportedly working on a new project titled ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ described as a historical drama exploring themes of racism and its impact on immigrants. As of now, the project is reportedly under pre- production and is said to star Cuba Gooding Jr. and more in primary roles.
Clare Anyiam-Osigwe allegedly began her career as a director in 2018 through the romantic drama titled ‘No Shade’. Her other works include ‘Hollyoaks’ for which she directed 7 of its episodes and ‘The Break’ which premiered in 2023. ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ will potentially focus on a Jamaican family who has to tackle hostility and marginalization upon their arrival in Britain during the late 1940s. The title of the upcoming project seems to be a reference to the patriotic song of Britain which could perhaps be intended as a satire. For the upcoming project, Julie Paupe is rumored to join its crew as its writer. Julie Paupe is another emerging artist. Supposedly joining Cuba Gooding Jr. in the cast for ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ are actors Françoise Pascal and Yonah Higgins.
Cuba Gooding Jr. who is known as an actor, writer and producer was last seen in ‘The Weapon’ an action thriller in which he played the role of Blue. Some of his popular roles are Dominic Banks/ Mat Miller in ‘American Horror Story’, Carter Wilson in ‘The Butler’, Rod Tidwell in ‘Jerry Maguire’ and Tre Styles in ‘Boyz in the Hood’. Françoise Pascal is another popular actress with over 50 years of experience in the film and television industry. Some of the works she has starred in are ‘Mind Your Language’, ‘Private Lives’ and ‘The Brothers’. Yonah Higgins is an emerging actress whose previous works include ‘Our Kid’ in which she played the role of Tasha. Additionally, Yonah Higgins is also known as a composer.
