Chris Pratt recently reprised his role as Peter Quill for the third film in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film franchise of Marvel Studios. The film which premiered in 2023 was met with good response leading many to speculate what the upcoming projects of the famed actor are. Rumors suggest that Chris Pratt has landed a primary role in Amazon MGM Studios’ ‘Mercy’ which is currently in its pre- production stage. The film has a plot supposedly centered on a man’s quest to prove himself innocent after being accused of a crime he seemingly did not commit. The film is said to have production companies Atlas Entertainment and Bazelevs Entertainment join Amazon MGM Studios in its development.
‘Mercy’ to be Directed by Timur Bekmambetov
Timur Bekmambetov is a popular director who is primarily known for his works ‘Night Watch’ which premiered in 2004 as a horror action film, ‘Ben-Hur’ which starred Jack Huston and more, ‘Profile’ which premiered in 2018 and the music video of ‘Powerless’ by Linkin Park. ‘Mercy’ is one among the rumored upcoming works of Timur Bekmambetov which would have his return to the director’s chair since a few years. Other said additions to the crew for the upcoming feature film is Marco van Belle. Marco van Belle is an emerging artist who is a writer, director and producer. In the upcoming feature film, he will possibly take on the role of the writer. Not much is known regarding the detailed plot of ‘Mercy’, yet, it seems to belong to the sci- fi genre.
‘Mercy’ is one of the supposed upcoming works starring Chris Pratt with the others being sequels to existing works starring the actor. ‘The Terminal List’ which premiered in 2022 and starred Chris Pratt, is supposedly receiving a sequel season which could potentially feature the actor’s return as James Reece.
