Many know Zachary Gordon from the film adaptations of the ‘Wimpy Kid’ book franchise wherein he portrayed the protagonist Greg Heffley. Being a known actor, he has starred in other popular works such as ‘Good Trouble’ a romantic comedy, ‘Dead of Summer’ a horror series which premiered in 2016, ‘Bubble Guppies’ in which he vocally portrayed Gil and the animated series ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’, to name a few. Lately, there have been a lot of speculation on the upcoming projects of Zachary Gordon whose last on-screen appearance was in the film ‘Violet’ which premiered in 2021. Rumors suggest that the actor will potentially star in an upcoming comedy titled ‘The Trick or Treat Movie’ in a primary role.
Plot, Crew, Setting and More
‘The Trick or Treat Movie’ is set during Halloween with the festival getting cancelled in a small town due to the lurking threat of a serial killer on the loose. The film follows two men in their mid- twenties who attempt to salvage the festival by undertaking an investigation all the while trying to stay alive. Carl ‘CJ’ Tempesta will possibly be directing this upcoming entertainer which is currently in its pre- production stage.
The upcoming feature film bears a resemblance to the plot of the 2017 short film with the same title which was directed by Steve Rasetta and Carl ‘CJ’ Tempesta. Hence, there is a good chance that the upcoming project will possess similarities in visuals to the existing work. Being an emerging artist, Carl ‘CJ’ Tempesta’s latest work (which he directed) appears to be the short film ‘The Trick or Treat Movie’ 2017. The artist will be returning back in the director’s chair after a while in his possible film debut with a supposed reimagining of the same tale. Other crew additions for ‘The Trick or Treat Movie’ are writers Steve Rasetta and Chloe Sciore. It is also suggested that Carl ‘CJ’ Tempesta is a co- writer for the film. Steve Rasetta was a part of the 2017 short film serving as both an actor and director. So far, there have been no announcements made on the potential release date for the upcoming feature film as its production hasn’t commenced.
