The political thriller follows career diplomat Kate Wyler as she copes with her tumultuous marriage to fellow career diplomat Hal while adjusting to her new high-profile position as the UK ambassador in the midst of an international crisis.
“We had such a great time making The Diplomat,” said Debora Cahn, the series’ creator and showrunner, “and it’s exciting to see how much people are enjoying it. We’re thrilled to get to do it once more.”
The Diplomat Season Two Cast: Who’s gonna be in it?
While the makers haven’t confirmed the cast members for The Diplomat season two, we can expect the return of almost all the characters from the previous seasons, including:

The release date for The Diplomat season 2 has not yet been determined. That’s right, the makers are yet to officially announce the premiere date for the second season. What to expect from the storyline of The Diplomat Season 2?
In the series The Diplomat, viewers learn that Trowbridge ordered a second attack just before the season ends. Fans are speculating on the fate of Sewell’s Hal, Ato Essandoh’s Stuart Hayford, Jess Chanliau’s Ronnie, the MP Merritt Grove, and other characters after this spectacular conclusion.
The second season of The Diplomat will probably focus on what transpired after the second explosion, who perished, and what Kate’s future, both personally and professionally, would be affected by these disclosures.
According to David Gyasi, who plays Austin Dennison, the British foreign secretary, Season 2 should focus more on their connection. “I’m just excited to see what that relationship [becomes],” Gyasi stated. “They’re so opposite to one another, and yet, when you scratch the surface, [you see] what drives them [and they’re] probably more connected to one another than a lot of other characters.”
